Omey Salvi is a game developer and writer based in Mumbai, India. Some of his popular games include Russian Roulette: One Life, Summer Friends Don't Stick Around, All That You Leave Behind, and Frame of Reference. He also writes fiction in the contemporary romance genre.

Russian Roulette: One Life

Russian Roulette: One Life

A perma-perma-death game that you can only play once. You play Russian roulette with a mysterious figure. If you win, you live to play another round. If you die, the game saves the state in the registry and you can't play it again. It was first released on Steam where your death was tied to your account.

Summer Friends Don't Stick Around

Summer Friends Don't Stick Around

A "Forever-Time" multiplayer game. In "Remember Me" mode, you play as a child chasing a bunny in a park on their bicycle. Your movement is used to train a machine learning model that learns to chase the bunny. In "Remember Them" mode, you can load up a saved model file and bike alongside the person who trained it - in spirit.

All That You Leave Behind

All That You Leave Behind

A nameless person lays dying on a street corner after an unfortunate evening of indulgence and self pity. People come across him - some offer sympathy, some offer judgment. As he slips out of consciousness, his mind wanders to the people he knew in his past. A visual novel with no interaction except moving on to the next piece of dialogue.

Atrophy

Atrophy

A short coming of age playable poem. I challenged myself to create a game that tells a story with no dialogue and using the mechanics of the game as a metaphor. The final version does have a written component but the game works both with or without it.

Frame Of Reference

Frame Of Reference

Portal-inspired puzzle game based on the forced perspective game mechanic which was first popularized by Albert Shih in The Museum of Simulation Technology and later Superliminal. You are stuck in a simulation testing your cognitive abilities after an accident.

I Am What I Am: One Life

I Am What I Am: One Life

A self esteem typing game that you must play every day in the One Life series. Every day you type positive confirmations about yourself to turn the clock backward a little. If you wait for more than 24 hours, you meet a grizzly self-inflicted fate.

Free Solo: One Life

Free Solo: One Life

An endurance rhythm game inspired by Alex Honnold, the free solo climber who scaled El Capitan in Yellowstone National Park. The game asks you to be focus for the same amount of time that Alex spent on that rock face. Similar to other games in the One Life series, death means you can't play the game again.

The Anarchist's Green Mile

The Anarchist's Green Mile

A cautionary tale about narcissism. You type your thoughts into a social media website and a machine learning model analyzes them along several scales. The more unhinged your thoughts, the faster your descent towards the morbid ending. Originally, the game had a very different and even more controversial ending. I sanitized the game and created the new ending to release it to the public.

Random Affectionate Memories

Random Affectionate Memories

Vince Poli dumped Evelyn Schwab six months ago on a beautiful San Francisco night.

With no communication about what went wrong, Evelyn is stuck blaming herself for her ex-lover's mistakes. Thankfully, an invite to a hackathon at the largest company in her industry looks like the perfect opportunity to put the past behind and finally move on.

But wait! Vince has been invited to the hackathon too! Evelyn must now focus on her work while also fighting her mixed feelings about the person who left her heartbroken.

Random Affectionate Memories is a clean and wholesome second-chance office romance about programmers racking their brains to find and fix software bugs before time runs out!

For Me, It's You

For Me, It's You

Adhya spent an entire year working alongside her boyfriend, Vinay, to launch a successful startup. But Vinay, the company's founder, had other plans. In a heartless move, Vinay seized the company and broke up with Adhya without any explanation.

Now Adhya, starting from stratch, is trying her best to move on. But months later, Vinay ends up at Adhya's office as her coworker after losing all his money.

Now the two are locked in a battle to be the first one to solve a show stopping bug that can make or break a large project. Will they leave their past behind and work together to solve it? Will their emotions get the best of them? Is there hope for Vinay and Adhya to reconcile someday?

For Me, It's You is a clean, second chance, office romance novella that takes a peek at the lives of IT professionals dealing with unresolved emotions as they find their way back to love.
